Poems for Winter

SNEEZES
If you have to sneeze,
AHCHOO! (Pretend to sneeze.)
This is what you should do.
Hold a tissue over your nose.
And into the tissue,
Your sneeze will go!
AHCHOO! (Pretend to sneeze.)
I'M A LITTLE SNOWMAN
(Tune: "I'm a Little Teapot")
I'm a little snowman,
Short and fat.
Here is my broom
And here is my hat.
When the sun comes out I'll melt away,
But I'll be back Another day!
MY VALENTINE
(Tune: "Baby Bumblebee")
I'm bringing home
A valentine for you
One that says,
"I love you."
I'm bringing home
A valentine for you.
With a great, big, hug.
And a kiss, kiss, too!
GROUNDHOG
Here's his hole.
Out he comes.
If he sees his shadow,
Back he runs.
ABRAHAM LINCOLN
(Tune: "Pop Goes the Weasel")
Abraham Lincoln, our President.
Was loved and honored by many.
To help us remember this famous man,
We put his face on a penny.
A FUNNY SNOWMAN
A funny little snowman
Had a carrot for a nose.
Along came a bunny,
And what do you suppose?
That hungry little bunny
Looking for some lunch
Ate that little snowman's nose,
Nibble, nibble, crunch!
MITTENS
Thumbs in the thumb place.
Fingers all together.
This is the song to sing
In cold weather.
When it is cold.
It does not matter whether,
Mittens are wool,
Or made of finest leather.
